Built in Amsterdam, for Dutch staffing.
We started Rational HRM because the people who place flexible workers were drowning in labour law instead of doing their jobs. So we encoded the rules — and gave the busywork to the machines.
Our story
WAB phase-in. Wet DBA classification. WAADI registration. CAO scales that change by sector. UWV reporting. eHerkenning gates. For a Dutch staffing agency, every placement is a compliance minefield — and one wrong step means a fine, a failed audit, or a worker paid wrong.
We watched recruiters spend more time in spreadsheets than with candidates, and owners lie awake before inspections. There was no system that simply knew the rules and proved it followed them.
So we built one. Rational HRM checks every shift, contract and payment against the law as it happens, writes an immutable audit trail, and lets AI do the matching and the maths — while people keep the decisions that matter.
